Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums launches new membership scheme

Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums (TWAM) is offering people who support its museums and galleries a host of additional benefits as part of a new membership scheme.
The scheme has three paid tiers and all proceeds are used to fund the running of TWAM’s nine museums and galleries including:
- Discovery Museum
- Great North Museum: Hancock
- Laing Art Gallery
- Hatton Gallery
- Segedunum Roman Fort
- Stephenson Steam Railway
- South Shields Museum & Art Gallery
- Arbeia, South Shields Roman Fort
- Shipley Art Gallery
- Tyne and Wear Archives
Annual Bronze membership costs £60 for individuals or £75 joint. In return, Bronze members receive 10% discount in all of TWAM’s gift shops, priority booking for world-class ticketed exhibitions, an invitation to an exclusive private event and a monthly email newsletter tailored to their interests.
Silver members at £75/£90 annually receive all Bronze benefits plus two complimentary tickets to a charging exhibition.
Gold members at £90/£105 annually receive all Bronze benefits plus four complimentary tickets to a charging exhibition.

“With the Lindisfarne Gospels coming to the Laing Art Gallery on 17 September 2022, now would be a great time to support our work in bringing world-class exhibitions to the North East by becoming a member.
“Gold members receives four complimentary tickets annually to one of our charging exhibitions, such as the Lindisfarne Gospels. We haven’t seen the Gospels in the region since 2013 and the exhibition at the Laing is sure to be the cultural highlight of 2022.
